During the course of the Osnabrück weekend, Marc Tyley, from BFBS Radio 2’s “Classic Rock Show”, together with Neil Knowles from BFBS Radio 1, came along and interviewed Southside Johnny – the result of which you can find on the multi-media page of the official Southside Johnny Website:

Not only did Marc present Johnny with some really great  questions that in turn produced some really great answers, but he also chose  some really great songs for the broadcast that went out world-wide on November  20th and 22nd, 2004, namely:

  • Coming Back
  • Sweeter Than Honey
  • Soul’s On Fire
  • Cadillac Jack’s #1 Son
  • Love On The Wrong Side Of Town

In addtion to the interview with Southside, Marc also spoke  to some of the fans who were at the Jukes Convention on the Sunday afternoon  and was successful in capturing their enthusiastic thoughts about what  Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes meant to them.

As I said to Marc when I thanked him for doing such a great  job, a few more radio shows like this and the world will surely be a better place.

Sincere thanks also to fellow BFBS DJ, Patrick Eade, who  also helped to make this whole thing happen.

Marc Tyley is on Facebook and now Controller Programming and Content at Manx Radio
